Happy New Year to all my friends here on JGN, hope it is the best of the best for all of us and especially Jeff. Seeing him in Victory Lane about 6 times in 2013 would be the "best of the best"!!Glad you are enjoying your travelling Carol, sure sounds like fun. So sorry to hear about Annes' sister passing away, my heart goes out to her.We are snowed in up here in Brockville, don't want to see anymore, my poor little Chevie was buried! Now I am in the packing mode, going to move in Feb. but it sure is a big job at my old age. Worst part is I have to downsize again, so boxes are marked "keep and sell", the one thing that will for sure stay is my Jeff Gordon stuff, even if I have to hang it from the ceiling!!Glad you are feeling better, Patty,it will soon be a distant memory.I hope your Dad ,Sheila, gets along fine.Happy Birthday to all those with Jan, birthdays. Only about 53 days to Daytona, can hardly wait! Happy days all ,please stay safe and have fun. GO JEFF GO!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR DEAR FRIENDS! My wish is for all with health problems, find a healthy new beginning in 2013. I hope that all that have faced loss in 2012 find peace in their hearts and hold beautiful memories of their loved ones. I hope that we all can celebrate together many many times when our driver Jeff Gordon makes it to victory lane. I truly hope that finally our great nation makes laws to ban semi automatic weapons.I hope we never have to witness the pain again when watching parents mourn the tragic loss of their little ones. I hope we all find our hearts and pockets full. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!

Nothing fancy going on here, except maybe some champagne. My son had to work today so he will be asleep by 9, plus their clothes dryer started on fire today and that will have to be repaired tomorrow. Not an exciting holiday for them.

No Chinese food here, think I'll make a grilled cheese sandwich with tomatoes. :P

Add my Happy New Year wishes to all that have beat me to it. We can all wish for a brighter tomorrow, some common sense in Washington (now there is a TALL order), best of health to all and speedy recovery to those that are ill, a great season for the 24 crew and the 88 crew. Also hope Danica Patrick holds her own this long racing season. Patrick

Guess everyone was having either a busy NY Day or a quiet one. Its now Jan 2 time to put my Christmas away and start getting the place organized. Going to try and set up some kind of routine for the this year to be more productive and less idle in retirement. I will see how long it lasts  .

Its getting pretty darn lonely on here! Where is everyone? How many members are out there? I know that Deb, B, Robert, Carol, Sheila, and myself are trying our best keeping the site up and running in the off season, could some of you help out a bit? Post some new topics, we don't care about what just post! It gets mighty lonely without people posting! Or add your 2 cents on here. I will be forced to write some of my storybook post, you know the loooong ones! On behalf of the snow bound, couch bound, or whatever bound we need posters! Help! Patty

There are a couple of Famous Dave's in Vegas. If you like BBQ. The best burgers are at In N Out Burger. Several in the area. There are a couple of Cheesecake Factory's also. You can google them to get locations. Lots of McDonalds. Ick. When we go to Vegas we try to go to a buffet at one of the casinos. Lots of good ones wit lots of good food.

$30 billion for unemployment insurance and $205 billion to corps and Banksters. Not a lot of Common sense there. But they did fix the Alternative Minimum tax so it won't affect us.

I second those wishes for the 24 and 88 teams and for Danica.

Well I did get Christmas put a way but boy it took a long time and my old out of shape body was feeling it before the day was done. Will see how it goes today. Thinking I might not get as much done today but will try and do a few things at least :).

My secret for taking down Christmas, all unbreakable ornaments on the tree, I just have a large tub and throw them in. I have one box of animated Santa's and snow men. I only use the top two tiers of my Christmas tree, not so heavy that way, I sit it on my round coffee table. Hanging stuff around the room is easy if you take down a picture and put a wreath in its place. Husband had to help this year and he appreciated the ease of my plan. Its been 3 1/2 weeks since the surgery, still not good, was told the wound stuffing could take 3 months, ugh! I just hope not! Just wondered if this doesn't benefit the surgeon, my infection, normally I would have been released after the first 2 weeks but now I am seeing him every week, so he is getting paid to take care of an infection I should never had gotten in the first place. They shouldn't have left me with so much time to think. Just wish I would have known before the surgery that this can happen, I would have been a little more educated on it all. Just wish it wasn't so painful. Patty
