It will be really strange not to see the DuPont on Jeff's car anymore. Although, CromaxPro was a part of DuPont; it was bought out by another company. It sure would be funny if now Jeff would win his 5th championship.

Haven't seen any yet hopefully soon. I'm really going to miss not seeing Jeff in the DuPont Car :( . Loved all the different main paint schemes.

I can't believe no more DuPont Chevrolet, I can see Jeff sitting on a warm beach somewhere repeating over and over CromaxPro Chevrolet. He has spent years always starting out with his DuPont Chevy when being interviewed. I think I feel some kind of loss with no longer DuPont. Oh no, I have to repaint my little farm vehicle I was so proud of how I painted the DuPont on the hood. Oh well another change in my life.

Dupont had a long, good sponsership, and in the end, personally, we all root for who's inside the car :)

What about Carols log in? CromaxPro Chevy just isn't as cool as DuPont Chevy.

Wow. I'm kinda sad now. DuPont Chevrolet is so embedded in my brain, CromaxPro is so, wrong! Ill get over it though

:( Wow, really sad that there's not going to be a DuPont car anymore.....really makes me want to get the diecast of Jeff's win at Homestead in the DuPont 20 yr. car now!! Those were some of my very favorite cars/paint schemes........will miss that. Not too much you can do with the AARP car. Oh well, as Robert said, we root for the driver no matter what car he's in and hopefully the CromaxPro car(s) will be really pretty like the DuPont cars were.

Sandi (anxiously awaiting the start of the 2013 season) :D

From Jayski

DuPont will continue sponsorship of Gordon: DuPont's sale of its automotive paint division will not affect the brand's sponsorship of Jeff Gordon in 2013, spokesperson Jon Edwards confirmed Friday. Questions about Gordon's sponsorship arose last August when private equity firm the Carlyle Group announced it would acquire DuPont Performance Coatings for $4.9 billion. The deal is expected to close in the first quarter of 2013. "DuPont Performance Coatings, LLC. will be the primary sponsor on the #24 Chevrolet SS for 14 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series events in 2013. CromaxPro, a DuPont Performance Coatings, LLC. product, will be featured as a major associate in all remaining races," Edwards said in an email Friday. DuPont was also the primary sponsor for 14 races last year. According to Edwards the No. 24 DuPont car paint scheme and schedule will be made available in the near future. The sponsorship commitment ends after the 2013 season.(As the World Turns Left)(1-6-2013)

Looks like the reports of DuPont's exit were a bit premature.

I hope they do lots of cool paint schemes this year.

I'm still confused about the whole thing  . Seems like I read the sale of that piece of DuPont has not been completed yet but is supposed to be sometime this year. Haven't seen any pictures yet.

I just focus on Jeff and his racing now. Since AARP cam on board, i did not like it. AARP is a money grabbing organization and as far as ending hunger? I am sure there is "some", but not as widespread as AARP says. Many of the older homeless are alcoholics that won't get off it and use whatever money they get for booze. Try giving a pan handler a can of soup.
I think Jeff and JJ are about the only ones that have not changed major sponsors. I know with the changes all the time in the cars that i will not buy any more merchandise as i don't have the money or room. I have so many t-shirts and other stuff now to last the rest of Jeffs career and beyond. I save my money now to go to a race or 2. Hope 2013 is championship #5 and then i will buy a T-shirt for that.

whew am glad not all of us feel this way, people in need are not all not what you say. Lots of seniors are living from hand to mouth. No need to be so harsh. I was for one pretty proud of Jeff for raising money to feed the needy seniors in our country. There comes a time when we have to have a heart and think of others. Just could not pass your comments without saying something, maybe I just took you wrong and if I did I am sorry but we have to help our fellow man. That just makes us human. Patty

I can't speak for AARP ending hunger, but I think AARP in general is a rip-off. Their insurance is a lot higher than other companies. Try getting a discount at a hotel and it is more than what we get at the hotel chain we use with their senior discount.
ROLL TIDE!!

I am not a member but have gotten the discount anyway, it was 10 percent, I mentioned it after was told the cost of a night.... won't probably join ever, see that's up to a person, right! But the elderly comment was what I commented on, not AARP. by the way AARP is helping the fight against the attacks on medicare and social security, our kids need the help, things would really change for them, retirement at 70 just isn't right, we pay 10, 000 a year for bcbs insurance, how could one pay that out until they turn 70...... think!
