Some people were posting a message on facebook yesterday, that facebook would be down on February 28, 30 and 31! And they were believing what they posted. LOL

Thanks for starting the new thread, Deb!

The sun is shining and the temps are already in the 60s in Las Vegas. Got settled into the campsite and got some sleep last night. Now time to hook up the sewer....the ONLY time I wish I had a husband is when I have to hook up the sewer!!

Deb will be heading south soon and she will be warm for the first time in months! This is a good thing. We will get to see Zion National Park...well parts of it...together and see the Hauler Parade on Wednesday evening on the Strip. This is going to be an exciting week and I hope I get to see and do all the things I want to do. Will go to Sam's Town on Thursday for the NASCAR Foundation auction...too bad bidding for riding with Dale, Jr. isn't in the budget. :P Will be meeting two of my friends from The Pitboard...I've met Chris a couple of times before and have communicated with Sherry on twitter for years. We will be stalking Dale and doing some gambling and, of course, consuming adult beverages. :) Life is good.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Is this the race that Jeff has to keep an eye on Clint? Just wondering! Dale Jr was the only Hendrick driver to fail to qualify in a good place. Hope that isn't the way that he finishes, would take some of his points away, but since we are Jeff Gordon fans hope HE gains a lot of points like winning points! Go 24 Go fast Jeff,!

Wish you were here, too, Charles! The weather looks to be perfect...for me, anyway. LOL In the 60s for highs, cool evenings for sleeping.

This is the month for spring to begin well, in most places. In Iowa it is still all white with more in the forecast. Talk about winter blahs...... Regardless, today is sunny, white and cold but, it is raceday and time once again to root for Jeff. Of course, I am also wishing Jr. a great day. Carol, hope you and the other board members enjoy the south west and the race you will attend. Let's go racing !!!! As the southern folks say "Ya'll have a great day, you hear" Patrick B)

Thanks, Patrick. Today will be a good day for Jeff and next week will be great fun in Las Vegas! Guessing we will all be pooped by Monday!

It will be a lovely day in Las Vegas today, but the forecast I looked at for race week is much cooler. In the 60s. I don't mind that, but I know my Las Vegas resident friends will be miserable because they are used to hot!

Happy Race Day, Fans!

Here comes the sun..do do do-do.
If feels like years since it's been here

It may be cold outside (25 degrees right now) but just seeing the sun blast through my windows is a great sight.

I get a week off from school but I suspect I'll end up using the time to get ahead a bit. I'm so used to doing schoolwork every day that I think it's better to just stay in that routine because it works well for me.

Things are good. We are thinking about replacing our 2001 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport with something newer. The van is right at that stage where it's going to start costing a lot to repair. It already needs a new radiator and BCM along with some body work. The fact that it has 175k miles on it makes me reluctant to put any money into it at all.

Hopefully everyone has a great day and that Jeff runs well in the race.

Talk to you soon!

Ugh...I gave in and downloaded Google Chrome. Nascar.com works on it and it appears I may get to sign in to Raceview next time I'm home for a race. I'm going to call and complain, though and see if I can get some money refunded since it was not working for most of Daytona or Phoenix on IE.

Exciting day today. Laundry day. And vacuuming and maybe some windows. I'm tired just thinking about it.

Watched a great online movie and will post a link to it. Please watch it. Bag It is about plastics and our overuse of them....and the damage we are doing to the earth by that overuse. Watch before you make a judgment. Even non-tree huggers will get the point if they watch with an open mind. ;)

I just realize I have too many TV programs saved on the DVR. Time to delete some without watching.

Hoping the day is great for everyone....Dorothy and Patrick...stay warm! Take pictures of the snow...bet it is lovely.

Had quite the snow fall late yesterday afternoon and thru the night. The city and police department closed the hills in the city and highways were closed down too. See the closure of the hills in the city is a big deal because you have to take at least one hill to get to any other area in our city. So everyone panics like it is the end of the world, simple solution folks "stay home" it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that one.

I am so sick of winter and snow! Harold said the flowers at the entrance to our former neighborhood are blooming and also some of the trees. Gosh, I miss it there so much! We are going home to Alabama next month. Yay!

I follow one of the Sacramento TV stations on facebook. They have been posting photos of blooming trees lately. The prettiest was on of a flowering tree in front of the old Governor's residence downtown. Made me wish I were there.

Why do we leave places we love? I can't see staying here forever. That is why we are working on leaving. Bad thing is we have to move MIL....again. If we had a stress meter right now it would blow the top off.

Enjoyed seeing Carol yesterday in Zion NP. We had lunch and I drove her through the Canyon. Enjoying the quiet before heading to Vegas today. Staying a cabin with no TV just been listening to my little ipod through their radio. Now comes the noise. Going to meet Carol again tonight. If we can find each other first the Hauler Parade then dinner. Tomorrow will be seeing my brother if all goes as planned. Not going to have internet access until I leave Vegas so again thanking all of those who offered their prayers. Thinking about a lot of things in this beauty and quiet.

Had a great, albeit expensive, dinner with Deb and Sue at the Cosmopolitan Wed evening. Enjoyed the Hauler Parade...Deb got a really nice video and my pictures are artsy-fartsy. LOL You can see them at https://picasaweb.go...012740254452898 along with pictures from the track yesterday.

Must get moving. Yesterday was fun. It is cold and wet today. LOVE IT! LOL
